Hello, I understand your concern
These are often signs of upper respiratory congestion due to a common viral cold. At this age, babies breathe mostly through their nose, so even mild blockage can cause:
Snoring or noisy breathing (especially when lying flat)
Cough due to post-nasal drip
Discomfort during tummy time
Next Steps
Nasal saline drops + suction: 2–3 drops of saline nasal drops per nostril before feeds and sleep
Use a nasal aspirator to clear mucus gently
Tummy time: Can continue for short durations if baby is comfortable
If cough worsens, reduce tummy time temporarily until congestion improves
Keep baby upright after feeds: Helps reduce post-nasal drip and spit-ups
Steam inhalation nearby (not direct): Sit in a steamy bathroom with baby for 10–15 minutes-Helps loosen mucus
Breastfeed well & monitor hydration: Ensure baby is feeding well and passing urine ≥6 times/day
Health Tips
Red flags:
Fever >100.4°F (38°C)
Difficulty breathing, chest in-drawing, fast breathing
Poor feeding, excessive drowsiness
Wheezing or persistent severe cough
Snoring is very loud or worsening
Nose block will cause snoring sound . Put nasal drops - 2 drops in each nostril Wenever Dr is nose block . Reduce tummy time if she is coughing a lot .
