I had a cotton bud injury 3 days back..I consulted ENT surgeon & he found that there is good amount of information in my ear & bulging of ear drum.. I was prescribed painkillers with antibiotics.. Antibiotic given was Cefuroxime+clav.. But I have severe nauseating feeling after taking antibiotic.. I do take pantoprazole,+ domperidone .. but still it makes me uncomfortable.. wanted to know can I switch to Cefopodoxime or Amox-Clav combination as I am used to these 2 antibiotics.. if yes, which one wud be better choice ? & should I use antibiotics for 2 more days only or to treat it as a totally new course & take it for 5 days ?

You can change to plain cefpodoxime 200mg twice daily..please take the full course for 5 days..stopping treatment in 2 days leads to inadequate resolution of the infection and is the leading cause for microorganisms resistance to antibiotics today
