Corporal gastritis due to H Pylori
Does corporal gastritis cause cancer or stomach line thinning? I really want to know how long does it take for the gastritis issue to heal after H Pylori? I am suffering for a month and half. I cant sleep at night due to the gastric pain. Doctors please help. I hv been taking Veloz IT and Sucral but there is hardly any relief. Had also done triple therapy in late December. How long more do I have to suffer like this?

If you are still hpylori+ despite the multiple regime treatment, you can go for vononoprazan 20 mg and Amoxicillin 1 gm twice daily for 2 weeks. But if tested negative for h pylori , consider going for a upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Gastric pain home remedies include drinking ginger tea, chamomile tea, or warm water, eating bland foods like bananas, rice, or toast, avoiding spicy or fatty foods, taking antacids or baking soda, applying a warm compress or heating pad to the stomach, and practicing relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation to help alleviate bloating, cramps, and discomfort.

Corporal gastritis is the inflammation in the body of the stomach. In many cases, chronic inflammation especially if due to an ongoing H. pylori infection, can eventually lead to thinning (atrophy) of the stomach lining. While atrophic changes are considered a risk factor for gastric cancer, this progression typically happens over many years rather than weeks. Most patients with gastritis do not develop cancer, and the risk increases with long-term, untreated inflammation. Researches have shown that when H. pylori is successfully eradicated (for example, with a triple therapy regimen), the acute inflammatory changes can begin to resolve within about 4–6 weeks. However, if there has been chronic inflammation or some degree of atrophy, the healing process can take longer, and symptoms like pain might persist for several additional weeks as your stomach lining recovers. What You Might Consider Doing: Confirm Eradication: Since you completed triple therapy in late December and it’s now been about six weeks, it may be wise to have follow-up testing (like a urea breath or stool antigen test) to ensure that the infection has truly been cleared. Symptom Management: If the pain is severe enough to disturb your sleep, your doctor might adjust your medications. Sometimes additional acid suppression (with proton pump inhibitors or similar agents) or mucosal protectants can help speed up healing and alleviate discomfort. Further Evaluation: Persistent symptoms may warrant additional investigation (for example, an endoscopy) to assess for any complications or residual changes in the stomach lining. Lifestyle Adjustments: Although there isn’t a one-size-fits-all “gastritis diet,” avoiding known irritants like very spicy foods, alcohol, or anything that seems to worsen your symptoms can sometimes help during recovery. At the end, It’s common for the stomach to take several weeks or even a couple of months to fully heal after H. pylori eradication, especially if there was chronic inflammation. The risk of developing cancer due to corporal gastritis is a long-term consideration and usually isn’t a cause for immediate alarm if you’re under proper medical follow-up. Because your pain is affecting your sleep and quality of life, I strongly recommend scheduling a follow-up with me or your doctor, they can reassess your treatment plan, possibly re-test for H. pylori, and ensure that nothing else is contributing to your discomfort.
