Greetings Doctors, my father is blind ,doctors told us to wait for CORNEA REPLACEMENT. it has been 4months , there's no calls from the hospital.. How long is this going to take. Can we just go to any hospital to get it done quickly

You should consult as many hospital as you can , as the cornea is available they will call you. What is the diagnosis why you want cornea transplant?

Yes you can consult multiple hospitals and get registered.  You can go to The first hospital that gives you a call. But please make sure that prior to surgery , all tests and investigations are done.

Preferably you can register yourself at other hospitals too, so as to avail the corneal transplant surgery sooner.

There are certain private centres where waiting time is about 7-10 days. Best thing is to register at multiple hospitals so as to increase the chances of early call.

It all depends upon the availability of cornea. Corneal donation has to be increased.Awareness has to improve. Pl register in superspeciality eyes hospital. You will et a call.pl consult ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment.
