Hi Is it normal for a CHF patient to continuously lose weight? My dad has lost 11 kgs in the past five months. Even after stopping Dytor 10 MG, the weight loss continues. His ejection fraction is now 44%.

Actually it's all dependent on dry weight. His earlier state was catabolic and fluid was accumulating in the body. Hence net weight was nml. But now with improving ejection fraction the accumulated fluid is excreted from the body. Hence weight loss. Give him high protein diet. His weight will improve. U can consult me anytime
