Is it true that the contact lenses must be removed 8 hours prior to an eye checkup? Why is this required?

Hello, can you please tell me what check up? If general consultation then removal even just before consultation  is enough. But if it is for cornea measurement purposes and especially if you are using hard  contact lens, then removal certain amount prior to visit is good..

Hello CONTACT LENSES ALTER SHAPE OF CORNEA . THIS MAY LEAD TO INCORRECT POWER OF GLASSES. SO BETTER TO REMOVE THEM 1 DAY PRIOR TO EYE CHECK UP.
