Constipation
Hi, My son is 4 and has severe constipation issue. He drinks less water and eats biscuits cheese which make him constipated. So pharmacy near by suggested to give Lactulose Fresinius. Is it safe to give this to a kid who is 4 years old. And also for a week? Till his stools are ok. Thanks and regards Vaishnavi

Hai for children with constipation changing habits is best solution .. if he doesn’t drink water try giving fluids in other forms . And also Please observe if he is getting constipated every time he is eating cheese ? Just cheese or other dairy products also ? Since how long is the child not passing stool ? Lactulose can be given but according to weight and should always be prescribed under doctors prescription.
Next Steps
Please consult a Pediatrician not a pharmacist
