It can be due to some retinal disorders. Complete fundus examination is needed to rule out the retinal conditions. It can occur in completely normal eye also, due to some absolutely normal vitreous and retinal conditions.
A grey spot that is stationary and moves with the direction of gaze needs a complete evaluation on slit lamp and indirect ophthalmoscopic evaluation of retina as well.
