My mom is having unrelenting back pain (towards the lower left) its a muscle pain which has now spread to complete lower back. She's not about to sit or lie down. She has taken voveran(dicholonophenac sodium) and Ultracet(acetaminophen&tramadol hydrochloride) with minimal to no relief. She's diabetic so local doctor advised against injection. What would you suggest?

Back pain going on for so long in her age, needs to be investigated. Please see an Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon who will assess her back and get appropriate investigations which will be am MRI scan or CT scan. Once this is done it will help her get the best possible treatment. Trying to treat back pain without investigating correctly is not good for patient benefit. Hope this helps.
