If it is in early stage it can be treated with antibiotic ear drops and medicines since it is usually due to infection of the middle ear. But if it grows there may be some damage to ear ossicles along with symptoms like dizziness, fullness of ear, decreased hearing etc. Definitive treatment is surgery but if damage is extensive then it is hard to restore to it's originality.
