Cleft uvula and soft palate
My son is three yrs.when he was at ten months there was a cyst(benign) in his soft palate.The cyst removed automatically.But there is a small hole in his soft palate.His uvula is cleft also.He has no problem to eat and drink.No hearing problem too.He can speak some words with clear sound and some words with nasal accent.What to do?

Your soon seems to be having submucous cleft palate with bifid uvula. He seems to have developed palatal perforation in the area a submucous cleft. If he has symptoms of nasal voice then he needs to be treated at the earliest as voice speech problems can be permanent if delayed. Consult a plastic surgeon for detailed evaluation.
