You probably are in true discomfort as I have seen people struggling with this issue.
Being a nerve centric issue at times it is difficult to treat but you can have my word that Homeopathy and physio will help.
You may have had a not very good experience with one doctor but that does not define the scope of the system ,so connect with a good Homeopath who can prescribe the medication on holistic basis. That will help.

Facial myokymia is a rare form of involuntary movement affecting the facial muscles. It is clinically defined as continuous twitching of small bands or strips of muscles that give an undulating or rippling appearance to overlying skin, descriptively called as `bag of worms' appearance.

Facial myokymia is often triggered or exacerbated by stress, sleep deprivation, and caffeine and may persist during sleep. Do the following
Reduce caffeine and alcohol intake.
Eliminate stimulants.
Lessen eye irritation.
Be more chill.
Get enough sleep.
Eat foods with magnesium.
Decrease exposure to computer screens, televisions, and harsh lighting (to allow muscles to rest).
