Confused by ct tech
Im a 30 year old male and smoke heavily about 2-3ppd and I started when I was 9. I had a recent ct scan and was told I have signs of early small airway trapping. What does this mean?

Air trapping on CT scan is also a sign of small air obstruction or Respiratory Bronchiolitis - ILD, closely related with Smoking.

Hi. I understand your concern s. It could mean that you are just in starting stage of COPD which is due to smoking. You will need to undergo a detailed examination and investigation like pulmonary function test which is needed for the diagnosis as well as to assess severity. Consult a pulmonologist for the same.
