My grandpa recently slipped at the hospital he has been admitted and they've diagnosed a compression fracture of D12 vertebrae. I've attached the relevant reports I believe. Kindly inform if an operation regarding the same is necessary as he has been sick for a while.

He has a D12 burst fracture..with probable neurological compromise.
If he has clinical signs of compression then he might need discectomy and fracture fixation.
If there are no clinical signs of compression then he can be managed conservatively.
