Composite restorations are very good and rarely fail. Alternatively please ask your dentist if he can give you an indirect restoration like an inlay or an only, these are lab fabricated and can have a longer lifespan in situations where regular fillings have failed. Indirect restorations are usually more expensive though but last for very long.
Next Steps
please contact your family dentist to further diagnose and treat the problem.
Health Tips
If your regular dentist is unable to help, look for an endodontist or a prosthodontist as they specialise in providing such types of restorations

Get filling done from a dentist who has advanced infrastructure and fine hand skills. Such dentist maybe expensive as well because he/she will provide quality work.
If the cavity is big, ceramic only can be done.
Composite doesn't chip off so frequently.. either the application is technically wrong or the setting time is not properly maintained.. there should not be any moisture contamination in that tooth during filling
Next Steps
Do it properly from a good dentist .. it should be there for min 3_4years..
Health Tips
making rough area over tooth is primarily necessary.
each application should b properly cured for 20 secs under curing light..
the steps should be followed properly.
no water intake for min 1 hr.
after 24 hours polishing should b done for stability & strength
