Why do we need gap of 6 to 8 weeks between chemo+radiation and the surgery in cancer treatment? Will the chemo tablets continued during that gap?

Yes a gap of 6-8 weeks is needed between radiation and surgery for healing of radiated tissues. No chemo tabs will not continue in the gap

Due to radiation oedema ll be there for reducing that ll wait for 4-6 weeks During this period, chemo therapy not continued if planned for surgery
