Colon cancer
One of my relatives.. She felt burning in abdomen.. After doing stool test reported occult blood positive.. Endoscopy was normal..one day she got blood in stool.. She was admitted to hospital.. Saline and medicine was given.. Blood stopped after few days.. But her leg and abdomen inflated.. She got swelling in leg and abdomen.. Doctor prescribed colonoscopy and reported carcinoma colon.. My question.. Can that medicine caused this carcinoma colon? The medicine named Tazotrip 4.5 injection.. And her liver heart was absolutely normal before going to hospital but after coming from there it reported ascetic also.

No that medicine didn't cause carcinoma colon. Tazotrip is an antibiotic which is useful for infection. You should consider getting a pet scan done to know whether disease is only in intestine or spread to other parts of the body and based on the report and biopsy finding should get the surgery done if disease is confined to colon. However u r mentioning ascitis , that indicates a query of spread , so should get the ascitis fluid removed and send for cytology
