Noisy breathing is normal in newborns as they have soft windpipe cartilage. This improves by 6mo to 1 year of age. Small amount of sneezing and coughing is also normal as baby tries to clear secretions from the respiratory tract.
If your baby has significant cold, he/she will have open mouth breathing particularly when sleeping. There may be a discharge from nose. Child will have difficulty in sleeping and feeding. If there is fever or fast breathing, then you need to visit your doctor. Hope this helps. 😀
