Can you use hydrocolloid/pimple patches for a cold sore around the lip? If not what cream or ointment works best and fast?

No you cannot Cold sore are viral infections which can increase due to the pimple patch They self resolve If it's bothering you too much, you can take few tablets at the onset itself to avoid it from increasing These are however prescription only pills so you need to consult once

No you shouldn’t use pimple patch on cold sore. Cold sores are basically HSV-1 infection. You need proper treatment with oral and topical medication. Please visit a doctor. Don’t try to treat it at home with home remedies.
