Cold post adenoids removal surgery
My child 2 weeks back underwent adenoids removal surgery and he was not having any cold for 10 days but now the cold has come back and he is feeling congested in his nose.i have asked ent multiple times but he affirmed me cold we will need not come back like it was prior to adenoids presense.fresh Cold post 2 weeks of surgery is this common or a a symptom we have to worry. I'm not given any medication for this cold

Cold may be due to, viral or bacterial infection. Antihistamines you can give. If symptoms persists,  a course of antibiotic is needed

Depends on adenoids tony was performed. If it was suction diathermy or cautery it will take few weeks for the adenoids to completely regress. And cold may be due to existing allergic condition too. Unless there is active bleeding you need not worry

Patient can have cold and congestion post adenoidectomy due to multiple reasons like pre existing allergies or viral infection. It will take a few weeks for the adenoid tissue to regress and the post operative inflammation to reduce
