Along with cheston cold tablets, take tab augmentin 625mg one morning and one evening for 5days.
Do gargles with hot water and 3 to 4 drops of listril solution, steam inhalation, 2 to 3 times daily.
Dear Patient,
Based on your symptoms (cold, sore throat, dry cough, and fever) and current medications (Telma AM for high blood pressure), it appears to be a viral upper respiratory tract infection, which usually does not require antibiotics unless there is evidence of a bacterial infection (like pus in throat, persistent high fever >3 days, or worsening symptoms).
Current Advice:
1. Continue Cheston Cold – twice daily after food for 3 days.
2. Benadryl Syrup – 5–10 ml at night if cough disturbs sleep.
3. Paracetamol 500 mg – every 6–8 hours for fever if needed (do not exceed 4 tablets/day).
4. Steam inhalation – twice daily.
5. Hydration & Rest – drink warm fluids, rest well.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Do consult before taking medications
Health Tips
1. Avoid antibiotics unless prescribed after evaluation.
2. If fever persists beyond 3 days, if breathing difficulty or thick yellow/green sputum occurs, consult for physical check-up or consider chest X-ray/CBC.
