CML report
Attached is the cbc report of my father who has been recently diagnosed with cml-cp . Dasatinib 100mg was started as first treatment therapy. The report is after 22 days on dasatinib 100mg but it reduces the platelet to 37k and wbc , rbc and hb are also reduced. Doctor said to stop the medicine for 1 week and repeat cbc after 3 days. I am really worried. What will be the next course of action? Does this affect the survival rate or treatment efficacy or is it common? Please pleas help

Hi if this is the first drop, ur doctor will repeat the same dose of recovered within one week. If the recovery takes more than 1 week or if the drop in platelets count is repeated, he may change the dose. Don't panic. Everything will be taken care by ur oncologist
