CML cbc report
My father has been diagnosed with cml-cp and Dastinib 100mg was started. But after taking the medicine for 22 days today cbc report show platelets reduced to 37000 and wbc and hb has also reduced. Doctor said it's medicine side effect and said to stop the medicine for a week and repeat cbc after 3 days. I am really worried what to do? Kindly help

Work of Any drug in CML is to decrease white blood cells to normal level and sometimes the medicine (dasatinib) decreases platelet and hemoglobin also as a side effect.
Dasatinib will be stopped forfew days to weeks and once the Platelet recovers to more than 75 it will be restarted. If again platelet come down then medicine will have to be changed to other TKI or dose of dasatinib will be reduced.
