Nature of exposure:
~The act you described is fingering followed by putting fingers into your mouth.
~HIV transmission requires the virus to enter the bloodstream through mucous membranes or open wounds.
~Saliva itself contains enzymes that inactivate HIV, and the amount of virus (if any) transferred via fingers after vaginal contact is negligible.
~Globally, there are no documented cases of HIV transmission through fingering-to-mouth contact.
➡️ This exposure is considered no risk or at most extremely negligible.
Next Steps
Old guidelines sometimes mentioned 6 months, but with modern 4th gen tests, that is no longer required.
Your 152-day negative result is 100% conclusive for this exposure.
No further testing is required.
