clonazepam is a benzodiazepine and can can cause memory impairment. It acts on benzo receptor in the mind on a longer run. It can cause cognitive impairment like memory, disturbances, change in personality, irritability, mood, changes and personality changes. That is the reason need not be taken or rather, should not be taken for a longer duration of time. ideally if the symptoms are due to anxiety or depression, you need to take a course of SSRIs. Consult an attitude psychiatrist immediately. Good luck.

It can do so in long-term use but in most of cases it is seen due to impaired attention.in impaired attention the person usually forgets small things and feels like his/her memory is impaired.
