Clinical Depression therapy
I have consulted many therapists till now because of  internet where it is written everywhere that medication and CBT is the most effective treatment for depression but after therapy, I have come to a conclusion that this is the worst thing happening to people who are already suffering immensely. The basic idea behind CBT is to change the thought pattern which is causing depression. I just want u all to know that it is not the thought which is causing depression, yes it happened coz of the thoughts that were working against that person but after the breakdown there is noway that changes in thought can treat such a horrible illness. It just needs right medicine and Physical workout for geeting back to the previous functioning. Till u don't experience any mental illness, u can't give any guidance by reading any book written by someone who didn't experience. It should be made clear that it can helpout in normal distress  but for mental illness(dysfunctional/suicidal) therapy is of no use.

Warm greetings. I feel bad for the difficult times that you went through. I respect your opinion, but like any therapy, CBT can also fail and no books report 100% improvement with CBT alone or with combinations. We cannot make any conclusions based on a single case alone as combination treatment have a strong evidence in indicated cases.

All illness even psychiatric having receptor n neurotransmitter or hormonal changes If psychotherapy can cure illness then all illness  can be cured by talktherapy even diabetes or hypertension or even cancer

I do respect your opinion. You had gone through such a situation and you can share your experiences and views. This may not be true in all cases. CBT is suggested with medication as it's really helpful. And it worked in many cases. It's wrong idea that you can't guide a person if haven't experienced it. Psychologists do get theoretical and practical knowledge for conducting the therapy.
