Cleft lip and cleft palate can be corrected with surgery. So dont worry about it. Surgery will be done later after few months only. So Your focus should be now on feeding. If feeding is fine no worries. If feeding problems are there consult your Pediatrician there if problem persists go to higher centre and meet a Neonatologist in near by City and finally meet a pediatric surgeon or plastic surgeon once baby is stable. Help mother in coping up with sudden stress. Encourage her to give milk to the baby as much as possible.
