First of all bleeding and cramps are expected in a miscarriage. As a first step of evaluation, get a transvaginal ultrasound scan to see if any products of conception is remaining in the uterus to understand your ongoing bleeding and cramps. If retained products are heavy and your bleeding is heavy, d and c is better. If you are bleeding well within limits, and no or minimal retained products, medical methods (tablets ) can be used to accomplish the job. Take care.

Visit your gynaecologist for examination. D and C will be needed if abortion is incomplete.
