Ciprofloxacin eye drops for newborn
My newborn has been given Ciprofloxacin eye drop three times a day for a month....as pediatrician told to give my baby for blocked tear duct....later I came to know this medicine should be used in neonates as it could coz arithopathy toxicity...m very worried...bcoz I already used it for one month...can arithopathy toxicity or any kind of side effects happen to my baby bcoz of this medicine later on..? Plz reply? M worried

No sir u need not worry.cipro causes bone and teeth problems if used orally or as injections.eye drops do not cause any harm.

Dear parents,            Ciprofloxin given orally for long term do cause arthropathy, but in eye externally do not cause any harm. So not to worry.
