Bilirubin level/Jaundice in newborns
Hi, I have 1 week old daughter and her bilirubin level is 17.6mg/dl. She weighed 3.280kg when born and currently weighs 3kg. I was 38 weeks pregnant when she was delivered. What should be the ideal level for newborns her age? Is there anything to worry about? Are there any home remedies to reduce it quickly?

Hi Levels are borderline. Feed every 2 hrly and on demand. If baby feeds well, the jaundice will come down

Hi ..her bilirubin level is now normal. However u can feed her frequently this helps in reducing bilirubin to some extent. Its a graphical representation where it has to be plot according to the baby’s day of life it’s not a fixed value for now below 21mg/dl is normal Nothing to worry about
