Chronic sleeplessness
She is unable to sleep for a few nights at a stretch. This is happening for over 6-7 years. Now she has severe bodyache, cannot bear sunlight or any kind of light. Her father has insomnia. She does not prefer any sleep inducing medicine. Tried walking to induce physical fatigue. Did not help, made matters worse. Anxiety (want to sleep) is making it worse. High SGPT, grade II fatty liver, non- vegeterian. Non-alcoholic, non-smoker. Habitual online gamer.Mother of sons aged 12 & 9. Nuclear family.

Consult nearest psychiatrist as you require detalied counseling session and you may require medications such as SSRI or tricyclic antidepressants... With that fallow relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation,avoid, coffee, tea...Exercise and stay active. Activity helps promote a good night's sleep. Get at least 20 to 30 minutes of vigorous exercise daily at least five to six hours before bedtime...Stick to a sleep schedule. Keep your bedtime and wake time consistent from day to day, including on weekends...regards.
