I have had reddish-grey discoloration, of the scrotal skin for about 3 years. It has remained more or less the same and hasn't significantly worsened. I have not consulted a doctor yet. During this time, I have tried a few over-the-counter products such as Candid-B cream, antifungal dusting powder, anti-chafing cream, and a few others (one included a mild atopic steroid based cream), but the discoloration persists.
There is itching—only occasionally—and sometimes I feel a mild needle-like prickling sensation. My main concern is the persistent redness/discoloration, and I would like to know what could be causing it and whether it is reversible.
I also feel quite hesitant and anxious about getting examined in person, which is why I am seeking guidance here first.
Any advice or guidance will be deeply appreciated. Thank you :)
