Chronic diarrhea after appendectomy
I recently had an appendectomy some 3 weeks ago. Still on my road to full recovery. I've been eating quite healthy. However, I noticed that my stool have been mostly watery ever since my surgery. Disturbingly, some days I have to use the toilet more than 4 times. Sometimes I even notice food substances in my stool. Please I would love to know if this is normal. If it isn't normal, I would appreciate medical advice as regards drug recommendation. I look forward to a favorable response. Thanks

If there is persistent diarrhoea after an appendectomy, I'd advise getting an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis fone as well as a complete blood count. If these are not all you may require  a stool examination.
Next Steps
it's best to visit the surgeon who operated upon you so he or she can examine you and then advise what investigations are needed
