Hello Doctor, What is the normal weight of 14 months old baby boy??? My kid is 8.35kg. Is he underweight??? Plz suggest me what should i feed him to gain the weight?? He is not at all eating these days.

He is less than other babies. But important is how he is growing since birth. You should check his growth chart. Continue breastfeeding for 2 years or more. Healthy diet in sufficient quantity should be given Checkup by pediatrician for nutritional deficiency and anemia should be done. Give iron drops for 3 months Vitamin D 400 units everyday

the weight of the child is no doubt on the lower side. But the weight as well as height as well as the growth pattern depends upon the diet as well as the genetic patterns. You have to give food made from cereals pulses vegetable at least one katori e 4 times per day and from fruits you have to give one katori at least two times per day. you have to give milk at intervals and if you are giving outside milk then minimum of 500ml milk everyday should be given. it is important to evaluate the growth of the child with the help of pediatrician along with proper diet chart
