Chikenpox scar are deeper scar and usually not respond to laser or microdermabrasion, either you should go for punch excision and closure or subscision. After subscision depending on the clinical condition other modalities like laser or topical medication can be tried which can decrease the scar visibility. Treatment depends on type of scars - depth etc. Microdermaabrasion removes very superficial layer of skin and unlikely to treat deep scars. Various procedures may be combined for a better result.
