Is acidity normal during chicken pox?
My friend is suffering with chicken pox and he gets burning sensation whenever he eats anything. He was even getting black cough. And he's not having hard food he's on soft diet.
He was even vomiting until yesterday.
Can he take eno to ease-up the acidity?

Sx - fever, vesicular rash, severe pruritus, HA.
PE -
⢠Vesicular rash.
Next Steps
Dx - Tzanck smear (multi-nucleated giant cells under microscopic evaluation). Viral Culture of vesicular fluid (positive VZV).
Health Tips
Tx - Acetaminophen 325-1000mg Q4-6hrs PRN. Diphenhydramine 25-50mg Q4-6hrs PRN. Diphenhydramine topical 1-2% apply to the affected area TID-QID up to 7 days. Acyclovir 800mg QID x 7 days. Varicella Zoster Immune Globulin, human 625 units stat.

chiken pox is a disease whre u get blisters all over body ..u knw dis alright wat u shud also knw dese blisters cud also be dere till down ur throat..so even normal acid secretion lead to burning sensation. wen acid reacts with lil blood oozing out through blisters it cms out in ur cough vomiting as hematin which is a black color substance. u must take antacid to keep it in check wen ever u take smthing orally
apart from
tab pan 40 mg twice a day
u cn add
syp mucaine gel 2tbs wnever u get such burning sensation
Next Steps
avoid spicy fluid
complete bed rest is required
dont scratch blisters
dont mingle with non immunised person or those who din hv small pox earlier
use calamine lotion to soothen blisters and decrease itching
if itching persist tke levocetrizine 5 mg once a day
in case of pain n fever use Tab Dolo 650 maximum 3 tabs a day
the symptoms vl go with frst few dosage of antiviral drugs it dsnt mean u shud stop it complete the course fr at least 5 days
blisters vl regress on its own might leave hyperpigmentation which vl go completely in 2 three months withod leaving any scar unless u scratch it badly
