I was down with very low grade fever after recovering from typhoid last month .My doctor asked me to get a chest x-ray done .The report showed some concerning results .Should I get worked up for cancer tb and other lung diseases further ?. What do these results suggest . Are they highly abnormal . I have a history of thalesemia minor . I am attaching recent cbc , chest x-ray etc . I do remember being down with mild flu as well some time back but it was nothing serious at all My cbc was normal with normal haemoglobin and platelets and wbc counts . .

Thalassemia minor itself will not cause any difficulties. But with that, you will keep having anemia and hence your immunity will be always subpar. This means you need to be better prepared against diseases. Wear masks, use sanitisers and handwash, stick to home food or places where kitchen hygeine is met as much as possible. Most probably this will solve the issue of having recurrent infections. But do connect if nothing works and you keep getting diseases, you might need further evaluation.

Your lungs are fine, but your heart is not, which can be due to chronic anemia induced by thalassemia minor. Go for 2decho, consult general physician
