Hello! Molluscum contagiosum is not a dangerous infection. It is caused by a virus. The disease is usually self limiting but as it may spread hence better to get it removed. For removal laser is not essential. It can be removed manually too by a trained dermatologist. Recurrence may be there hence complete cure may happen in 3 to 4 sessions.
