Hi doc my cervix length during first scan was 3cm then during my 13 weeks scan my cervix length got reduced to 2.7 cm and now Iam at 19 weeks I have done my early anomaly scan where still my cervix length is 2.7cm so I wanted to know if this is manageable through progesterone injections or do I need to go for stitches will it be risky later when baby size increases . Please suggest me and what are those precautions I need to take

Anything less than 2.5cm will need a stitch. Rest you can continue with progesterone injections and regular screening for your cervical length. If there is history of previous preterm delivery, PPROM please take further precautions.

Cervical length will be decreased as the pregnancy continues
If you have any risk factors like in previous pregnancy any preterm delivery or abortions then get stitch otherwise nothing to worry
