Cervical herniation
I am diagonsed with c5- c6 cervical herniation. Is it cured only by surgery cervical disectomy and fusion.?Is it possible to cure without surgery. Is it minor or major surgery. If symptoms releiving by medicines also. Either it is compulsory to do surgery. What are its complications. Pls explaino sir

Two treatments depends on severity. surgical approach is needed if 1. clinically u have pain not relieved by any medication or u developed weakness, urinary problems.  2. mri can predict the extent of disc prolapse helps in assessing severity.  u can send me ur complaints and mri. I can better tell about ur requirements of surgery. There is conservative type of treatment but it needs ur dedication and. commitment to doctor
