Hello Practo User,
Your routine requirement of calcium is 1000 mg/day.
If you can suffice this requirement in your diet, you don't need to take tablet.
However on a long run it is advisable to take it under a qualified doctor's supervision.

Look out for side-effects of excessive calcium like constipation,feeling thirsty, weakness etc.
