Cataract with Diabetes
My father has Diabetes and has cataract 100%. Getting good doctor consultancy is tough. So following are my questions for now: Can someone suggest whats better for this situation ? mono-focal or multi-focal ? Which company ? Alcon or Symfony ? Do you guys have experience with Symfony (Extended Range of Vision) ? I read its good because its better than regular IOL mono-focals, is that true ? Any known issues with above Symfony lense ?

Hello As discussed earlier Both are good in cataract with diabetes. 1. Choice of multifocal or monofocal depends on keratometer values...try to send these values. 2. Second determining factor is retina status....if retina is ok...then go for multifocal..but if macular edema is present then monofocal is better. For more clearance you can call me ...I will be able to explain you better
