Don't go for SICS,it is for those who can't afford phaco-emulsification,in SICS consumable items costs hardly RS 500.It is manual, no use of phaco machine & lots  of bleeding happen in SICS,rehabilitation is not fast,it is not for well to do patients. If you can afford , go for phaco-emulsification with foldable lens (better with hydrophilic lenses eg ALCON acrosof).Incidence of pco(posterior capsule opacity) is very less in this lenses .

MICS is the best surgery for Cataract. But other treatments using good lenses are also good, depending on what you can afford. Don't go for SICS since rehab will be longer.

Hello there...... Talk with your eye doctor about whether surgery is right for you. Most eye doctors suggest considering cataract surgery when your cataracts begin to affect your quality of life or interfere with your ability to perform normal daily activities, such as reading or driving at night..... You ophthalmologist can decide, what surgery is suitable for you.....
