Cataract for both eyes
My Mom (63 years old age) with diabetic has a cataract in her both eyes and would like to perform a removing operation. I have some concerns: How long it will take for both eyes? When the patient will be ready to go (We are from outside India)? How much cost for the whole operation for both eyes? Thanks, Ahmed Maki

1st diabetes has to be under control at least  one wk before operation. usually  operation of both eyes are not performed  in one sitting. there must be a difference of at least 2to3 wk. time taken in a operation is few minutes, say 15 to 20 minutes. the cost may vary from 30 to 70 k for one eye depending upon the procedure and quality of lens.
