Car travel after 17 days of c section
My wife had her second c section on 8th December 2021. Today we are planning to travel by car around 500km from one side with pit stops..so is it safe to go for a long drive or we have to cancel the program.. also my baby is just 17 days old so with frequent stops can I go

It is better to either avoid traveling so soon after Caesarean or go by Air. I am sure a distance of 500 km must be having some Airlines connection. At least you can reduce the road journey to a large extent.

Preferably avoid travel till 6 weeks of delivery when mother and baby both will be stronger to withstand journey unless urgent , keeping legs static for long durations can increase risk of thrombosis ( clotting of blood) in legs and she will have pain at her caesarean site , Botha re at increased risk of getting infections also and the doctor who operated will not be available for consult if you are away … so meet them consult and then plan journey
