Ways to help yourself through depression and anxiety: 1. Exercise: Either it is walking/running/swimming/ or yoga. Or go hit the gym,it is also a great way to help you meet new people and make new friends. It makes you feel happier, more relaxed and less anxious. You may also feel better about yourself, which boost your confidence. 2. Practice Meditation & listening to your own breathing. It is other way of reducing stress. 3. Mental fitness: Same like your body needs exercise, your brain too needs exercise & training to work well, after all it is just a part, like any another part of the body. But it is not so simple to understand. Give it a challenge. Try to solve puzzles/sudoku/crosswords. Do solve some logical questions. 4. Enjoy yourself: Enjoyment is not just hanging out/ having fun with others. Everyone has their own way of it. Do what makes you happy. 5. Dwelling on past experiences: well, everyone makes mistakes after all we are humans..Don't regret about it,learn from it.Keep your mind open. 6. Listen to soft relaxing music: of instruments like flute, piano, violin. I personally like piano. It makes you feel good. 7. Practice positive self-talk: Simple rule, Don't say anything to yourself that you wouldn't say to anyone else. Accept the way you are, accepting yourself is the only way to overcome low self-esteem. 8.Overthinking: Overthiking is the misuse of imagination. "Less thinking, more living" Boredom is the main reason for overthiking. Instead, Try Change of the routine Go out doors Take up a new hobby Learn new skilks Keep yourself busy 9. Know who You are!!!: Yes, know about yourself.....Explore yourself, know your real worth, recreate yourself. Have some quality "ME" TIME!!! 10. Eat & drink right. 11. Have a good tight sleep. 12. Detach from social media: Don't spend much time online.Social media is a junkie to brain. It is making people unsocial. 13. Have a talk with your buddies:Maintain a good healthy relationships with fellow humans. Don't hang out with party poopers/ debbie downers. Talk with someone who makes you feel good and alive, who will make you forget about all atleast for a moment. Those friends can be your pets also; best friend, furry friend. And one more thing, Atleast have one older friend. You can learn a lot from them because their experience is of your age. Thinking about the past and being regretful and depressed about it ; Thinking about the future and being anxious is not good. Live in the moment, appreciate the beauty in every activity every second of the day. " Here and now," Hope this helps.

Decreased concentration and inattention is a symptom and not a disease in itself. This symptom can be associated with many different psychiatric conditions starting from Anxiety disorder, adult ADHD, Depression to psychotic disorder and many others. Sometimes inattention can also be a residual symptom after someone has recovered from other symptoms of the illness. The symptom of inattention basically shows malfunctioning in one’s executive functional brain circuitry.
Next Steps
You should consult a psychiatrist for a detailed evaluation of your past and present symptoms along with how the progress of each symptom was and is at the moment.
Health Tips
Likely a SSRI or Stimulant is seen to be helpful in such cases.

Lack of memory can be due to the medicine or due to illness too. You have to convey the symptom to your psychiatrist. He will let you know how to proceed further. Do not worry you can come out of this. Good luck
