Cancer in right breast
On 9th of December my sister went under an operation for removal of a lump in her right breast. Today, on 9th of January we got reports for the slides and blocks given by the surgeon. The doctors said that it is cancer. We don't know how to proceed. Stage of cancer is still unknown. Should we seek help from other countries? Or is it possible to get a cure from cancer cells in India ?

Today we are having all evaluations and treatment modalities available in India for treatment for cancer.Treatment for cancer is done by oncologist (Medical,Surgical and Radiation) But the reports need to be confirmed so the necessary slides and paraffin blocks needs to checked with pathologist.

Hi Kindly give detailed histology report, mammosonography report. Which surgery was done,  MRM or only lumpectomy. If initial surgery is incomplete,  go for completion of surgery. All facilities for cancer is now available in India, for surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. No need to go in other countries. Send histopathology report,  then I will guide you for further treatment. Early stage ca breast is curable.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  After the histopathology slide report, if the doctor is suggesting it could be cancer, then there is no chance he wouldn't suggest you what to do further. For staging and all, certain other tests will also be needed. Mammography, CT scan etc will also be required.  You haven't attached the reports also so we can have a look at it. Consult a general surgeon in person for further evaluation and management. Best regards. Dr. Anil kumar jain. Bangalore.
