Most medications when used during first 3 months of pregnancy can cause some problems with the offspring; the severity varies. It depends what medications you are talking about and to whom they were given and when. Medicines given to males will not affect offsprings later. Medications in women would affect only during first or third trimester of pregnancy mostly. Certain medications ar eto be avoided during the second trimester as well.
