You are dealing with a complex conditionâCervical radiculopathyâand the prescribed regimen is aimed at addressing pain, nerve health, and associated inflammation. Regarding Pantoprazole with Levosulpiride, these are commonly used together for gastric protection and motility. The concern about neuropathy is understandable, but such side effects are rare and usually associated with long-term, high-dose use or specific deficiencies, not typically seen with supervised use as prescribed.
Your prescription also includes Tofacitinib and Iguratimod, which are potent agents affecting immune pathways. Because of this, adding Ayurvedic formulations like Dashamoola Kashayam, Yograj Guggulu, and Ashwagandha should be approached cautiously. While these are traditionally beneficial for musculoskeletal and nerve health, there is a possibility of overlapping pharmacological effects or altered drug metabolism, especially when immune-modulating drugs are already part of your regimen. Maintaining a 2-hour gap may reduce direct absorption interference, but it does not completely eliminate interaction risks, particularly at the metabolic level.
Next Steps
Do not discontinue or modify your prescribed treatment out of fear without professional supervision, as this may delay recovery. Instead, monitor your symptoms and note any unusual sensations such as tingling, excessive sedation, or digestive discomfort. If you wish to integrate Ayurvedic support, it is important to do so under coordinated guidance rather than self-combining therapies. A structured and individualized plan can help balance both systems safely. Health Tips
Focus on posture correction and gentle neck care, as mechanical factors play a major role in cervical radiculopathy. Avoid prolonged screen time, sudden neck movements, and improper sleeping positions. Incorporate mild stretching and relaxation practices to reduce nerve compression and muscle stiffness. Maintain a consistent routine, adequate hydration, and stress management, as these significantly influence nerve recovery. When combining different systems of medicine, always prioritize coordination and moderation to avoid unnecessary complications. Thank you
You are confused and are heavily relying on Google knowledge. Your doctor has provided you medications for an acute stage. Once this acute phase is handled you will have the physical ability to take further action. But if you keep worrying about the side effects of pantaprozole which is a need of the hour, you will end up damaging yourself. I can tell you that go and get admitted in a good ayurvedic hospital and get panchakarma procedures done. But they are going to be difficult to execute. So at the moment follow your doctor's advise. The ayurvedic meds you have mentioned are not right for your condition as they are hot in nature and you have an injury due to electric shock. For deciding the right formulations for you, you need to do HAIP DIET Body Type Analysis which is a free online test. After doing this test you can seek my consultation.
P.S. Please don't stop any of your allopathic meds without first speaking with your doctor.
Cervical radiculopathy causes nerve-related pain, so treatment with nerve stabilizers like gabapentin and supportive vitamins is appropriate. Medications such as pantoprazole with levosulpiride are used for acidity protection and do not directly cause neuropathy. Although very long-term use of PPI may reduce vitamin B12 absorption and indirectly affect nerves, this risk develops over months to years, not in the short term and there is no need to worry about neuropathy from them.
Stronger drugs like tofacitinib and iguratimod are typically used for autoimmune conditions, not routine nerve pain, so it is reasonable to reconfirm their need with your doctor. Gabapentin, etizolam, and vitamin supplements are appropriate for nerve pain and recovery. Ayurvedic medicines may be safe with a gap, but avoid starting multiple Ayurvedic drugs with these strong meds unless supervised by doctor.
Your prescription includes strong medicines, so do not add Ayurvedic medicines like Dashamoola, Yograj Guggul or Ashwagandha on your ownâeven with a time gap, interactions at liver metabolism level can occur. Pantoprazole is generally safe for shortâmoderate duration; B12-related neuropathy risk is mainly with long-term use and you are already on B12 (Nurokind), which helps prevent it. Avoid stopping or modifying medicines without advice. Please consult me so I can review your case and guide a safe integrative plan.
