Can I go for CT Scan of my 7 months son?
Sir/Mam My son fell form bed and have swelling in right side forehead. I took consultation with a child specialist he suggested for CT Scan but I am afraid . I read that CT Scan causes cancer in child. Please suggest and help me.

Only on requirement doctor suggest such test... Although radiation r harmful but it depends exposure dose.

Was the baby unconscious after fall, is he having recurrent vomiting, if yes, then neuroimaging is required, otherwise, keep observing the baby for development of new symptoms

If there is persistent vomiting , fits, bleeding from ear,nose,throat , loss of consciousness we need to go for imaging. Otherwise it's not mandatory.
